INN-312

INN-312 is a sickle hemoglobin (Hb S) inhibitor capable of penetrating red blood cell membranes. INN-312 inhibits sickling of sickle red blood cells under hypoxic conditions, increases the oxygen affinity of Hb, and moderately improves the solubility of deoxygenated Hb S. INN-312 can be used in research related to sickle cell disease.

INN-312 (0.5-2 mM) dose-dependently inhibits sickling of sickle erythrocytes (SS cells) under hypoxic conditions at 37°C, with 81% inhibition at 2 mM^[1].

In Vivo

INN-312 (50-150 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) produces dose-dependent increases in AUC_0-t and C_max in transgenic sickle mice, with consistent pharmacokinetic parameters across doses, and strongly shifts hemoglobin OEC leftward^[1].
