DMPE-PEG1000-NH2
DMPE-PEG1000-NH2 (DMPE-PEG1000-Amine) is a conjugate composed of DMPE, a PEG chain, and a terminal primary amino group (-NH2). The primary amino group in DMPE-PEG1000-NH2 can be covalently linked to functional groups such as carboxylic acids, NHS esters, and isocyanates for targeted modification of liposomes/nanoparticles.

Biological Activity
The structure of DMPE-PEG-NH2 comprises three key components that work synergistically:
DMPE: Acts as a hydrophobic anchor, responsible for securely embedding the entire molecule into the membrane structure of lipid nanoparticles.
PEG chain: Acts as a hydrophilic spacer arm, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system recognition and clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
Primary amino group (-NH2): A reaction interface located at the end of the PEG chain, enabling coupling with various molecules via a mild and efficient chemical method, such as amidation.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
