DSPE-PEG5000-Amine ammonium (DSPE-PEG5000-NH2 ammonium) is conjugated with EDC/NHS-activated Ce6 to obtain DSPE-PEG-Ce6; the conjugation efficiency of Ce6 with DSPE-PEG5000-NH2 is estimated to be 99% by UV-vis spectroscopy^[2].
DSPE-PEG5000-Amine ammonium (10 mg; 3 mL of 0.1 M sodium carbonate buffer, pH 9.5) is mixed with FITC (HY-66019) (3.3 mg; 100 μL DMF) and incubated overnight at room temperature to generate DSPE-PEG-FITC; its successful synthesis is confirmed by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry^[2].
