Biological Activity
DSPE, or distearate phosphatidylethanolamine, is a phospholipid molecule with excellent biocompatibility and membrane fusion capabilities.
PEG, or polyethylene glycol, is a commonly used polymer that can increase the stability and bioavailability of materials.
RRRRRRRR is an octargine sequence. Arginine is a basic amino acid rich in positive charge, which can interact with negatively charged components on the cell membrane, thereby promoting the uptake of materials by cells. The tandem arrangement of Arginine residues further enhances this effect, making DSPE-PEG-RRRRRRRR a promising candidate for biomedical applications such as gene delivery and drug delivery.
