In Vitro
Fmoc-L-Lys-mono-amide-DOTA-tris(t-Bu ester) consists of four key structural parts that work synergistically to achieve its function:
DOTA backbone: This is a powerful ligand that forms extremely stable and robust complexes with metal ions such as Ga3+, Lu3+, and Gd3+.
Tris(t-Bu ester) (tris(t-Bu ester)): Acts as a protecting group, protecting the three carboxyl groups of DOTA.
L-Lys as a linker: DOTA is linked to the ε-amino group of lysine via its fourth carboxyl group.
Fmoc protecting group: Protects the α-amino group of lysine, allowing this compound to be seamlessly integrated into the standard Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) process as a standard amino acid building block.
