Strawberry aldehyde (0.02-0.5% diet; daily feeding; for 2 years) at dietary levels up to 0.5% for 2 years does not demonstrate carcinogenic effects in Rattus norvegicus, with a no-untoward-effect level of 0.1% (equivalent to ~35 mg/kg/day in males and ~60 mg/kg/day in females)^[1].
