IRDye700Dx (Maleimide)
IRDye700Dx Maleimide is a Photosensitizer. When conjugated with HER2 Affibody and activated by near-infrared light, IRDye700Dx Maleimide induces death in HER2-positive breast cancer cells without causing damage to HER2-negative breast cancer cells.

Biological Activity
Incubation of HER2 Affibody with IRDye700Dx Maleimide (5-fold molar excess; 2 h) successfully yields purified HER2 Affibody-IR700Dye conjugates[1].
HER2 Affibody-IR700Dye conjugate (0.1-0.3 μM; 2 h) induces selective cytotoxicity in HER2-positive SK-BR3, MDA-MB361 and JIMT1 breast cancer cells, but exerts no such effect in HER2-negative MCF7 breast cancer cells when used for near-infrared photoimmunotherapy (NIR-PIT)[1].
