BC-AZIDE is azide-functionalized bacterial cellulose modified with an azidotrimethoxysilane anchoring unit; XPS measurements reveal new signals at 399.5 eV (N 1s), 152.71 eV (Si 2s), and 101.8 eV (Si 2p)^[1].
BC-AZIDE (30 min) mediates SPAAC labeling of the nuclear envelope and actin fibers by DBCO-PEG4-5/6-TAMRA in live HeLa cells, enables SPAAC/IEDDA dual labeling of SNAP-/CLIP-tag fusion proteins in live cells with no obvious cross-reactivity, and also accomplishes two-color SPAAC/IEDDA labeling of CLIP-tag targets in fixed-permeabilized HeLa cells^[2]^[3].
