mTOR-IN-29

mTOR-IN-29 (Compound 4k) is an mTOR inhibitor with a IC₅₀ of ~120 nM. mTOR-IN-29 inhibits mTOR kinase activity without affecting the phosphorylation of STAT3. mTOR-IN-29 acts as a cytotoxic agent against proliferating and senescent cells. mTOR-IN-29 can be used in studies related to glioblastoma.

mTOR-IN-29 (1-50 μM; 72 h) potently inhibits the growth of BJ, RPE-1 hTERT and U-251 MG cells, and its activity is almost equivalent to that of Torkinib (HY-10474)^[1].
mTOR-IN-29 (100 μM; 15 min pre-incubation) does not inhibit IL-6-induced STAT3 phosphorylation (Y705) in RPE-1 hTERT cells^[1].
