DMPE-PEG2000 ammonium has a unique amphiphilic structure, DMPE is hydrophobic and PEG is hydrophilic. This structure enables it to not only interact with the hydrophobic part of other lipid components in the liposome, stabilize the double-layer structure of the liposome, but also improve the dispersion and stability of the liposome in the aqueous environment by the hydrophilicity of the PEG chain[1].
