Containing the Azide group, it can undergo a copper-catalyzed azido-azynylene cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing the Alkyne group. It can also undergo a ring-strain-driven alkyne-azido cycloaddition reaction (SPAAC) with molecules containing the DBCO or BCN groups.
