Malondialdehyde tetrabutylammonium is a quaternary ammonium salt formed by the decomposition of polyunsaturated fatty acids in plant cell membranes. Malondialdehyde tetrabutylammonium can be used for the quantification of malondialdehyde, a biomarker of lipid peroxidation[1][2].

In Vitro

The linear range for quantitative analysis of Malondialdehyde tetrabutylammonium via CZE is 0.5 to 60 μM (extendable to 80 μM), with a limit of detection of 0.2 μM[2].
