Biological Activity
Murexide (Ammonium purpurate) (0.2 mM; pH 7) coordinates with EuII in aqueous solution, shifting the maximum absorption wavelength from 525 nm to 485 nm, and the absorbance decreases gradually as the concentration of EuII increases from 0 to 0.18 mM.[1][1]
Murexide (0.2 mM; pH 7; 25°C) is used to determine the dissociation process of Eu1Cl2 (0.5 mM), with a measured kd,obs of 3.0 ± 0.3 × 10−5 s−1, which is consistent with the results obtained by electrochemistry[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
