M918

M918 is a cell-penetrating peptide derived from the C-terminal region of the tumor suppressor p14ARF. Containing multiple arginine residues, M918 can bind to protein cargo and antisense PNA. By facilitating the delivery of sequence-specific antisense PNA, M918 inhibits and corrects splicing-thereby silencing luciferase expression-while simultaneously inducing Th1-type immune responses, including the production of IFN-γ, IgG2a, IgG2b, and Granzyme B. The intracellular internalization of M918 is independent of glycosaminoglycans; it exhibits low cytotoxicity and can be utilized in research concerning HIV-1 infection and related delivery strategies.
