Biological Activity
N-Acetyl-R-leucine is not a substrate of LAT1 and PepT1, but is an inhibitor of PepT1 with an IC50 of 0.74 mM[2].
N-Acetyl-R-leucine is a substrate of MCT1 with a Km of 1.0 mM, and an inhibitor of MCT1 with an IC50 of 11 mM[2].
N-Acetyl-R-leucine (1-5 mM; 7 days) shows no apparent dose-dependent effect on LysoTracker signaling in NPC1-deficient Chinese hamster ovary cells, but is statistically significant at higher concentrations (5 mM)[3].
