Biological Activity
Pefloxacin impurity 1 (compound 37) inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus 209P, Escherichia coli NIHJ JC-2 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa V-1 in in vitro agar dilution assays, with MIC values of 1.56 μg/mL, 0.20 μg/mL and 3.13 μg/mL against the three strains, respectively[1].
