PNU-37883
PNU-37883 is a selective vascular KATP channel blocker. PNU-37883 prevents K+ efflux/hyperpolarization, inhibits KATP-mediated vasodilation, and does not alter vascular tone when used alone. PNU-37883 can be used in research on hypertension and viral infections.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
PNU-37883 (10 μM; 30 min) eliminates [Ca2+]0-induced vasodilation and reveals contraction in capsaicin (HY-10448)-pretreated rat first-order mesenteric arteries[2].
PNU-37883 (10 µM) inhibits Pinacidil (HY-14290)- and Adenosine (HY-B0228)-evoked KATP currents in isolated mouse brain capillary endothelial cells[3].
PNU-37883 reverses Pinacidil-induced KATP currents in freshly isolated mouse brain capillary endothelial cells[4].
PNU-37883 inhibits Adenosine-induced KATP currents in mouse brain capillary endothelial cells and pericytes[4].
