S-Adenosyl-3-thiopropylamine
S-Adenosyl-3-thiopropylamine acts as a weak to moderate reversible inhibitor of spermidine/spermine synthase, and its inhibitory activity increases after oxidation (to S-Adenosyl-3-thiopropylamine sulphoxide and S-Adenosyl-3-thiopropylamine sulphone).

Biological Activity
S-Adenosyl-3-thiopropylamine (0.1-1 mM; 30 min) inhibits purified rat ventral prostate spermidine synthase (55% inhibition at 1 mM) and spermine synthase (65% inhibition at 1 mM), with weak activity at 0.1 mM[1].
