SARS-CoV-2-IN-1 is a potent Mpro inhibitor. SARS-CoV-2-IN-1 inhibits the purified recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Mpro, SARS-CoV Mpro and MERS-CoV Mpro with IC50s of 0.67, 0.90 and 0.58 μM, respectively.

In a SARS-CoV replicon, SARS-CoV-2-IN-1 (compound 13b) inhibits RNA replication with an EC50 of 1.75 μM. In human Calu3 cells infected with the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV-2-IN1 shows an EC50 of 4-5 μM[1].
