Description

Sodium ionophore X is a neutral ionophore that binds highly selectively to sodium ions (Na+) to form stable complexes. Sodium ionophore X can be used to construct ion-selective chemical sensors (including optical sensors and electrochemical sensors)[1][2].

In Vitro

Sodium ionophore X is used to prepare sodium ion-selective optical microsphere sensors that can be read by flow cytometry[1].
Sodium ionophore X is used to construct a thin-layer voltammetric sensing membrane based on a cationic [6] helicene redox probe for the detection of Na+[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
