Sulfo-Cy5-N3 is an azide-functionalized sulfonated cyanine 5 Fluorescent dye and also serves as click chemistry coupling reagent. Sulfo-Cy5-N3 undergoes copper (I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition with alkyne-functionalized antibody constructs and peptide probes for site-selective fluorescent labeling. Sulfo-Cy5-N3 also acts as an emission dye for STORM super-resolution imaging. Sulfo-Cy5-N3 is applicable to the study of HER2-positive breast cancer.

Sulfo-Cy5-N3 (16 h) efficiently conjugates via CuAAC to all four terminal alkyne handles of Astra-PD-bridged full-length Herceptin, yielding a homogeneous, stable dual-modified antibody-agent-fluorophore conjugate with preserved HER2 binding specificity and intact antibody structure[1].
Sulfo-Cy5-N3 is an azide-functionalized sulfonated cyanine5 fluorophore with an exact mass of 725.28 Da, classified as a dSTORM-compatible photoswitchable dye[2].
