Pitavastatin Calcium is a potent hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor. Pitavastatin Calcium inhibits cholesterol synthesis from acetic acid with an IC50 of 5.8 nM in HepG2 cells[1].
