3a-3,29-Dihydroxy-7-oxomultiflor-8-ene-3,29-diyldibenzoate (Compound 3) (3 d+6 h) shows no marked cytotoxicity against the K562 cell line under the tested assay conditions[1].
3a-3,29-Dihydroxy-7-oxomultiflor-8-ene-3,29-diyldibenzoate (Compound 3) can be isolated from the CHCl3 extract of Trichosanthes kirilowii seeds via sequential silica gel column chromatography, yielding 50 mg from 2.5 kg of dried seeds[1].
