4L2-P13D is an IL-11 antagonist with an IC50 of 2.8 μM. 4L2-P13D has a KD of 11 nM for hIL-11. 4L2-P13D exhibits antifibrotic and renoprotective activities. 4L2-P13D can be used in the research of renal fibrosis[1].

In Vitro

4L2-P13D (0.5-5 μM; 72 h) reduces the expression of profibrotic factors (FN1, COL1A1) in TGF-β1-induced HK-2 cells in a dose-dependent manner[1].
4L2-P13D (0-50 μM; 24 h) exhibits no cytotoxicity against HK-2 cells even at concentrations as high as 50 μM[1].

Western Blot Analysis[1]

Cell Line: TGF-β1-induced human proximal tubular epithelial (HK-2) cells

In Vivo

4L2-P13D (0.5-2 mg/kg; s.c.; daily administration; 7 days) exhibits potent anti-renal fibrosis activity in the UUO mouse model[1].
