Biological Activity
The structure of PEG-Acrylate comprises two key components that work synergistically:
Acrylate: A key monomer in photopolymerization or thermal polymerization, it can react with other acrylate groups through free radical polymerization to form a covalently cross-linked network.
PEG chain: Acting as a hydrophilic spacer, it forms a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system recognition and clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
