9-Cyclopentyladenine is an adenine derivative that binds to human AA1R, AA2AR, AA2BR and AA3R subtypes. 9-Cyclopentyladenine is used for the research of neurodegenerative diseases^[1].

In Vitro

9-Cyclopentyladenine (compound 12) binds to human AA₁R (K_i = 10 μM), AA_2AR (K_i = 1.8 μM) and AA₃R (K_i = 13 μM) expressed on the cell membrane of CHO cells, but shows no detectable affinity for human AA_2BR (K_i ＞ 30 μM)^[1].
