Biological Activity
The tetradecapeptide hormone somatostatin arises from proteolytic processing of a large precursor, preprosomatostatin[1]. Somatostatin-28 (1-14) has been used to produce antibodies selective for somatostatin-28 that do not bind to the C-terminal fragment somatostatin-14[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
