α,α-DiBn-DL-Gly (Dibenzylglycine) is an achiral α-substituted phenylalanine derivative, non-substrate weak inhibitor of LAT1 (L-type amino acid transporter 1). α,α-DiBn-DL-Gly does not stimulate efflux of-Gabapentin from preloaded HEK-hLAT1 cells. α,α-DiBn-DL-Gly shows minimal inhibition of-Gabapentin (HY-A0057) uptake into HEK-hLAT1 cells.

Description

In Vitro

α,α-DiBn-DL-Gly (200 μM; 3 min) does not act as a LAT1 substrate in induced TREx HEK-hLAT1 cells, as evidenced by its 23% relative exchange efflux rate[1].
α,α-DiBn-DL-Gly (200 μM; 3 min) shows minimal inhibitory activity against LAT1 in induced TREx HEK-hLAT1 cells, as evidenced by its 11% uptake inhibition of [3H]-gabapentin at 200 μM[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
