Antibacterial agent 99 (compound 7b) is a potent antibacterial agent. Antibacterial agent 99 shows significant antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antibacterial agent 99 dose not show haemolytic activity[1].

In Vitro

Antibacterial agent 99 (compound 7b) shows antimicrobial activity with MIC of 8, 8, 16 μg/mL for Sa - Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) ATCC 43300, Ca - Candida albicansATCC 90028, Cn - Cryptococcus neoformans H99 ATCC 208821, respectively[1].
Antibacterial agent 99 shows cytotoxicity with an CC50 of 2.1 μg/mL for HEK293 cells, and haemolytic activity with an HC10 of >32 μg/mL for human red blood cells[1].
