Western blot analysis of extracts from HEK293 (lane2, 20μg), Hela (lane3, 20μg), Jurkat (lane4, 20μg) and Mouse liver tissue (lane5, 20μg) using ALDOA Antibody (HY-P82292). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/500) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993, 1/10,000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8001,1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon cancer tissue using ALDOA Antibody (YA2037). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. The tissues were probed with the primary antibody (HY-P82292, 1/100) overnight at 4℃. The detection was performed using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with neutral balsam.

Background
-
Function
ALDOA catalyzes the reversible conversion of beta-D-fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (FBP) into two triose phosphate and plays a key role in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. In addition, may also function as scaffolding protein[1].

-
Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification
P04075 has 2 isomers: P04075-1: 39420 Da (predicted); P04075-2: 45261 Da (predicted).
-
Subunit
Homotetramer. Interacts with SNX9 and WAS (By similarity). Interacts with FBP2; the interaction blocks FBP2 inhibition by physiological concentrations of AMP and reduces inhibition by Ca(2+)
