Antifungal agent 179
Antifungal agent 179 is an indole-oxazole alkaloid analog with broad-spectrum antifungal activity against plant pathogenic fungi. Antifungal agent 179 disrupts the integrity of fungal hyphal cell membranes, increases membrane permeability, and causes leakage of intracellular electrolytes and cytoplasm. Antifungal agent 179 exhibits protective and curative activity in a tomato in vivo model infected with Botrytis cinerea, with low toxicity to mung bean plants. Antifungal agent 179 can be used for research on crop fungal infections.

Beschreibung
In Vitro
Antifungal agent 179 (Compound Z-3) in the mycelial growth inhibition assay exhibits EC50 = 6.81 mg/L against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, EC50 = 11.9 mg/L against Rhizoctonia solani, EC50 = 13.8 mg/L against Botrytis cinerea Pers, EC50 = 13.1 mg/L against Pyricularia oryzae, and EC50 = 42.6 mg/L against Colletotrichum capsici[1].
Antifungal agent 179 (EC50 100 mg/L; 20-240 min) disrupts the cell membrane of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, causing cytoplasmic leakage[1].
Antifungal agent 179 is predicted to exhibit strong binding affinity for the Botrytis cinerea Pers. receptor protein 8ZAC, indicating its potential as an inhibitor[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
In Vivo
Antifungal agent 179 (100-200 mg/L; spraying; 48 h) exhibits low toxicity to mung bean plants, with a germination rate of 100% at both 100 and 200 mg/L concentrations[1].
Antifungal agent 179 (100-200 mg/L; 48 h) exhibits low toxicity and excellent safety in plants, with no inhibitory effect on normal mung bean growth[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
