Biological Activity
Antiviral agent 79 (compound 8d) (0-100 μM; 48 h) potently inhibits the replication of EV71 in Vero cells, with an EC50 of 12.86 μM and a CC50 of 175.1 μM and also reduces the production of viral progeny and the number of GFP-positive infected cells in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
Antiviral agent 79 (0-100 μM; 48 h) inhibits CVB3 replication in Hep-2 cells, with an EC50 of 19.58 μM, a CC50 of 156.6 μM and also blocks virus-induced cytopathic effect at high concentrations[1].
Antiviral agent 79 (48 h) inhibits the replication of ADV7 in HeLa cells, with an EC50 of 10.29 μM and a CC50 of 145.8 μM and also blocks virus-induced cytopathic effect at a concentration of 50 μM[1].
Antiviral agent 79 (100 μM; 4-32 h) blocks the replication of EV71 in Vero cells by inhibiting viral RNA synthesis and protein translation[1].
Antiviral agent 79 (50 μM; 32 h) significantly upregulates the expression of IFN-β mRNA and activates the host type I interferon pathway in RD cells[1].
