6-Hydroxy-dendroxine isolated from Dendrobium nobile displays characteristic γ-lactone carbonyl and hydroxyl group signals in its IR spectrum measured in carbon tetrachloride[1].
The near-identical NMR profile of 6-Hydroxy-dendroxine to that of dendroxine indicates that the two compounds share highly similar core structural features[1].
