DGKQ - diacylglycerol kinase theta Gene

Also Known as DAGK; DAGK4; DAGK7

Species: Homo sapiens

Gene Type: protein coding
Gene ID: 1609

About DGKQ

Cytogenetic location: 4p16.3 Genomic coordinates (GRCh38): 4:958,887-973,569 (from NCBI)

This gene has 5 transcripts (splice variants), 186 orthologues and 9 paralogues. Ubiquitous expression in small intestine (RPKM 9.9), duodenum (RPKM 8.3) and 25 other tissues.

Summary

The protein encoded by this gene contains three cysteine-rich domains, a proline-rich region, and a pleckstrin homology domain with an overlapping Ras-associating domain. It is localized in the speckle domains of the nucleus, and mediates the regeneration of phosphatidylinositol (PI) from diacylglycerol in the PI-cycle during cell signal transduction.
