Biological Activity
Biotin is conjugated to the surface of biomacromolecules via chemical or enzymatic methods, and the tetrameric structure of avidin is utilized to achieve cascade amplification of detection signals, which significantly improves the detection sensitivity of trace molecules. In addition, with the aid of streptavidin-based solid-phase carriers, this technology can also achieve precise capture and purification of target molecules, or serve as a targeting ligand to guide the enrichment of drugs at lesion sites. Biotin modification is the cornerstone of modern molecular diagnostics, proteomics, and targeted therapy.
