Complex I-IN-1 (compound 3) binds to the active site of yeast mitochondrial Complex I and interacts with surrounding key amino acid residues, which is consistent with its function as a Complex I inhibitor[1].
Complex I-IN-1 exhibits excellent activity against wheat powdery mildew (EC50 = 0.440 mg/L)[1].
Complex I-IN-1 alters gene expression in mycelia of Blumeria graminis, and the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) are enriched in pathways associated with mitochondrial complex I function, confirming complex I as its potential target[1].
