AtPep1 TFA
Based on 1 Customer Validation
AtPep1 TFA is an endogenous inducer of innate immune responses. AtPep1 TFA can be isolated from Arabidopsis thaliana leaves. AtPep1 TFA activates the transcription of defensin (PDF1.2), the expression of PROPEP1, the synthesis of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) near leaf veins, and the alkalization of Arabidopsis suspension cell culture medium. AtPep1 TFA induces the expression of genes encoding defensins and PR-1. AtPep1 TFA is applicable to studies related to Pythium irregulare infection and pathogen infection.

Description
In Vitro
AtPep1 (20 min) TFA induces medium alkalization in suspension-cultured Arabidopsis thaliana cells, with a half-maximal activity of approximately 0.25 nM[1].
AtPep1 (10 nM; 2 h) TFA induces the expression of PROPEP1 and PDF1.2 genes in detached leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana (Columbia ecotype). This response depends on functional jasmonic acid and ethylene pathways, and is partially dependent on NADPH oxidase activity[1].
AtPep1 (10 nM; 2 h) TFA induces vein-associated H2O2 accumulation in detached leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana (Columbia ecotype)[1].

RNA extraction experimental
By lysing cells, releasing RNA, and removing impurities such as proteins and DNA, high-purity RNA products are finally obtained. The commonly used traditional method is the guanidine isothiocyanate/phenol/chloroform method (Trizol), which is suitable for a variety of animal materials including animal tissues, microorganisms, cultured cells, etc., and most plant materials.

Research Protocol for Infectious Diseases
Infectious-disease experiments test how pathogens interact with host barriers, innate immune receptors, inflammatory signaling, pathogen replication, and tissue injury; pattern-recognition receptors such as TLRs, RIG-I-like receptors, NOD-like receptors, and inflammasomes detect microbial molecules and activate NF-κB, interferon, and cytokine responses. The central hypothesis is that infection severity reflects the balance between pathogen burden and host response: protective inflammation restricts pathogen growth, whereas excessive or mislocalized inflammation contributes to tissue damage and disease phenotype. Unresolved questions include which host pathways are protective versus pathogenic, why some infection models fail to translate to human disease, and which combined readouts best predict clinically relevant infection outcomes.
