Menaquinone 9 binds to the αβ dimer of Escherichia coli nitrate reductase, supporting electron transport within the αβ subunit structure of the enzyme. Menaquinone 9 serves as a precursor for bone Menaquinone-4 (HY-B2156). Menaquinone 9 can be used in studies related to metabolic diseases.
