Biological Activity: Blue Tetrazolium is a tetrazolium salt chromogenic dye that can be reduced to a dark blue formazan product. Blue Tetrazolium is applicable for assays such as succinate dehydrogenase activity detection and reducing sugar quantification. Blue Tetrazolium also serves as a novel corrosion inhibitor for cold-rolled steel in hydrochloric acid solutions. Blue Tetrazolium has a broad wavelength range (480-600 nm), with the maximum absorbance observed at 540 nm[1][2][3].
