Biological Activity: Glipentide is a sulfonylurea receptor agonist. Glipentide increases the concentration of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate in rat hepatocytes and inhibits basal gluconeogenesis. Glipentide can reduce glycerol production in rat adipose tissue. Glipentide can be used in research on endocrine and metabolic diseases such as diabetes[1][2].
