Biological Activity: Torulene (Torulin) is an orally active carotenoid with anti-cancer activity. Torulene inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis of tumor cells via a mitochondrial signal pathway and the down-regulation of androgen receptor (AR) expression. Torulene can be used for the study of prostate cancer[1][2].
