Biological Activity: GPR109 receptor agonist-4 is a high-affinity GPR109a and low-affinity GPR109b niacin receptor agonist with EC50 values of 24 μM and 4.8 μM, respectively. GPR109 receptor agonist-4 acts through Gi-coupled receptors to reduce intracellular cAMP, which in turn negatively regulates hormone-sensitive lipase activity and inhibits lipolysis. GPR109 receptor agonist-4 can be used in the study of atherosclerosis[1].
