IFN-beta Protein, Human (HEK293) is a cytokine with immunomodulatory properties.IFN-beta Protein, Human (HEK293) can be used for the study of severe COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), it reduce viral load and improve lung pathology in a marmoset model^[3].

Interferon-beta is a cytokine with immunomodulatory properties, and has therapeutic potential for the treatment of ischemic stroke^[1]. Interferon-beta (IFN-β) suppresses the production of IFN-γ and induces IL-10, whereas the production of IL-4 is not altered^[2].

The ED₅₀ is <0.1 ng/mL as measured in a proliferation assay using TF-1 cells.

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
