DCN1 modulator-1 is a DCN1 modulator. DCN1 modulator-1 binds covalently to DCN2. DCN1 modulator-1 induces the expression of fetal hemoglobin mRNA (HBG1) and fetal hemoglobin protein (HbF). DCN1 modulator-1 is applicable to research related to sickle cell disease and thalassemia.

Biological Activity
DCN1 modulator-1 (I-73) (1-24 h) potently binds to recombinant DCN1 protein at both 1 h and 24 h time points in TR-FRET binding assays, with an IC50 ≤ 200 nM[1].
DCN1 modulator-1 acts as a covalent inhibitor of DCN2[1].
DCN1 modulator-1 inhibits the neddylation modification of CUL3 in AlphaLISA assays, with an IC50 ranging from 200 nM to 1000 nM[1].
DCN1 modulator-1 induces the expression of fetal hemoglobin gene (HBG1) in cells. In Nanostring assays, its EC50 ranges from 200 nM to 1000 nM, and the observed maximum induction rate is ≥50% and <100%[1].
DCN1 modulator-1 induces fetal hemoglobin (HbF) protein expression in cells. In HPLC cell culture assays, its EC50 >3000 nM, and the maximum observed induction rate is ≥50% and <100%[1].
