Estradiol disulfate
Estradiol disulfate is an estradiol disulfate ester, belonging to sulfated steroid derivatives. Estradiol disulfate is a kynurenine transaminase inhibitor that acts by competing with pyridoxal phosphate for the binding site on the apoenzyme. Estradiol disulfate protects kynurenine apo-transaminase from inactivation associated with incubation. Estradiol disulfate can be used for research on kynurenine transaminase-related diseases.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Estradiol disulfate (30 min) effectively inhibits rat kidney kynurenine aminotransferase at concentrations as low as 5 × 10-7 M[1].
Estradiol disulfate (5 × 10-6 M; 1 hour pre-incubation, 24 hours dialysis) reversibly inhibits rat kidney kynurenine aminotransferase and protects the enzyme from inactivation during 1 hour of incubation at 37°[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
