Fumiquinazoline A serves as a substrate for the FAD-dependent oxidase Af12070 Δ1-24, which drives O2 consumption with an apparent turnover number of 4.6 min-1[1].
Fumiquinazoline A (200 µM; 0.1-20 hrs) is oxidized by Af12070 Δ1-24 to form the seven-membered spiroaminal Fumiquinazoline C[1].
Fumiquinazoline A (compound 2) exhibits moderate antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi, with an MIC value of 12.5-25 μg/mL, and its activity is stronger than that of Fumiquinazoline D (HY-125523)[3].
