Colocynthoside B (100‑500 µg/mL; 6 days), contained in the chloroform extract, exhibits high anti‑aflatoxigenic activity against Aspergillus flavus Fri2 in CCM medium, with an inhibition rate exceeding 80% at 500 µg/mL^[4].
Colocynthoside B (compound 2) (1 M HCl; 3 h) is a novel cucurbitane-type triterpenoid glycoside isolated from the fruits of Citrullus colocynthis^[2].
Colocynthoside B (500 µg/mL), contained in the chloroform root extract, exhibits the strongest inhibitory effect on aflatoxin accumulation in Aspergillus flavus Fri2 when administered early at 0 h, whereas delayed administration from 65 h onward fails to block mycotoxin biosynthesis^[4].
