IPG-2 AM
IPG-2 AM (APG-2 Acetoxymethyl ester) is a membrane-permeant acetoxymethyl ester derivative and selective fluorescent potassium ion indicator. IPG-2 AM exhibits fluorescence increases proportional to extracellular potassium ion concentrations. IPG-2 AM enables real-time monitoring of cytosolic free potassium ion fluxes in human platelets and macrophages. IPG-2 AM can be used for the research of intracellular potassium concentration dynamics.

Biological Activity
IPG-2 AM (1 μM; 10 min at 37°C) enables quantitative detection of intracellular potassium concentration changes in J774A.1 macrophages and BMDMs exposed to nsPEFs, and can detect immediate potassium efflux and subsequent recovery processes in most treated cell populations[1].
Real-time flow cytometry analysis monitors cytoplasmic potassium efflux in human platelets treated with IPG-2 AM (0.1 μM; 60 min)[2].
IPG-2 AM (0.1 μM; 60 min) exhibits an apparent Kd of 31 mM in human platelets, which validates its suitability for the quantitative detection of cytoplasmic potassium concentrations[2].
