Description

RG7109 is a non-nucleoside allosteric inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus NS5B polymerase. RG7109 inhibits HCV replication in replicon assays^[1]^[2].

Viral Infection

RG7109 is a potent, equipotent inhibitor of GT-1a H77 and GT-1b Con1 HCV replicons, maintaining potency of ≤10 nM in 40% serum, with serum shifts of 3.8- to 9.4-fold^[1].
RG7109 retains potency against GT-1a and GT-1b NS5B isolates in transient replicon assays, with the greatest reduction in potency observed against the RO-38 isolate containing S556G^[1].
