Adlupulone
Adlupulone (Phloroglucinol impurity X) is an antibacterial agent with an MIC of 0.98 μg/mL and an MBC of 3.91 μg/mL against Bacillus subtilis. Adlupulone is found in auxin-induced root cultures of Hypericum perforatum and in female flowers of hops (Humulus lupulus L.). Adlupulone can be used in research related to Bacillus subtilis infection.

Adlupulone (16-24 h) potently inhibits and kills Bacillus subtilis ATCC6051 in vitro with an MIC of 0.98 μg/mL and MBC of 3.91 μg/mL, and contributes moderately to the antibacterial activity of HHT hop extract with an AAV of 0.80[2].
